Devine Goodman Attorneys Honored by 2015 Super Lawyers

Devine Goodman attorneys John W. Devine, Lawrence D. Goodman, Robert J. Kuntz, and Guy A. John W. Devine, a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department, has been named a Florida Super Lawyer in the areas of Real Estate, Closely Held Business, and Business/Corporate is . John focuses his practice on the corporate, commercial, real estate, construction and environmental areas. In the corporate area, John represents clients in matters ranging from the creation of business organizations to private placements and recapitalizations, including corporate governance issues and board and shareholder representation in corporate divorces. He also represents clients in commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing matters. John’s construction practice is centered on the representation of owners and developers in construction projects nationwide, and includes design and construction contract drafting and negotiation as well as project administration and claims management. In the environmental area, John has represented industrial, commercial, financial, and agricultural clients in a wide range of matters including petroleum, pesticide, and hazardous waste cleanups, asbestos management and abatement, corporate compliance and transaction-related issues.

Lawrence D. Goodman, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice, has been selected as a Florida Super Lawyer in the areas of Business Litigation, Closely Held Business, and Class Action/Mass Torts. Larry has more than 25 years of experience as a business litigator and trial lawyer and handles cases involving complex business disputes in a wide variety of matters, including contract claims of all sorts, “corporate divorces” involving dissolution of closely-held entities, real estate litigation, aviation business disputes and civil RICO cases. Additionally, Larry has litigated many class action cases and has been class counsel in nationwide and state certified classes.

Robert J. Kuntz is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice and has been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyer in the area of Business Litigation. Robert has extensive experience representing commercial clients in a wide range of industries including aviation, shipping, private security, maritime carriage of cargo and passengers, firearms, design, garment, construction, lending, manufacturing, and gaming. He has successfully handled all manner of business disputes – including fraud, torts, contract claims, class actions, and product liability – at every stage, from pre-suit negotiations, through discovery, trials in state and federal trial courts, and to appeal.

Guy A. Rasco, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice, has been chosen as a Florida Super Lawyer in the areas of Business Litigation, Civil Litigation, Defense and General Litigation. Guy is a trial lawyer and focuses his practice on commercial litigation and business disputes, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, real estate litigation, disputes involving contracts and the Uniform Commercial Code, bank litigation, securities litigation, international litigation and arbitrations, matters involving allegations of fraud, including the defense of businesses and entities sued by governmental agencies such as the FDA, FTC, SEC, CFTC, and DOL, and white collar criminal issues, including grand jury matters, asset forfeiture and whistle blower suits. Guy’s clients include multi-national banks and corporations, closely held business entities, and individuals residing in the United States and abroad.
