Devine Goodman Partners Named to the 2018 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America®

John W. Devine has been recognized in the fields of Real Estate and Corporate Law for the fifth consecutive year. John represents clients in matters ranging from the creation of business organizations to financings, including corporate governance issues and board and shareholder representation in corporate divorces. He also represents clients in commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing matters.

Lawrence D. Goodman has been selected for his work in Commercial Litigation. Larry has more than 25 years of experience as a business litigator and trial lawyer and handles cases involving complex business disputes in a wide variety of matters, including contract claims of all sorts, corporate divorces involving dissolution of closely-held entities, real estate litigation, aviation business disputes and civil RICO cases. Additionally, Larry has litigated many class action cases and has been class counsel in nationwide and state certified classes.

Guy A. Rasco has been honored for his Commercial Litigation work for the third year in a row. Guy focuses his practice on commercial litigation and business disputes, creditors’ rights, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, real estate litigation, intellectual property litigation, disputes involving the Uniform Commercial Code, securities litigation, international litigation and arbitrations, matters involving allegations of fraud, including the defense of businesses and entities sued by governmental agencies such as the FDA, FTC, SEC, CFTC, and DOL, and white collar criminal issues, including grand jury matters, asset forfeiture, health care, and whistle blower suits.

Abigail C. Watts-FitzGerald has been selected for inclusion in the field of Mergers & Acquisitions Law for the twelfth consecutive year, and she was also recognized in the newly-created category of Non-Profit/Charities Law for the second year for her 36 years of experience providing legal advice to nonprofit organizations and their boards of directors. Over the years, Abi has represented a variety of nonprofit organizations and their boards as outside general counsel, such as The Orange Bowl Committee, Inc., Gulliver Schools, Inc., Norton Museum of Art, Inc., The Collins Center for Public Policy, Inc., the South Florida Golf Foundation, Inc., Hands on Miami, Inc., and Broward Bulldog, Inc.
